Search Engines have been designed by companies such as Yahoo or Digital Equipment Corporation's Alta Vista to help you find resources on the World Wide Web.

Search engines have subcategories (Arts, Education) to make your search quicker and more specific. Remember there are hundreds of computer databases and your search engines are traveling throughout the entire NETwork to assist you in finding the appropriate addresses and information.

1 Go to Net Search on the Directory Button.
2 Type a general category such as demographics.

For a specific topic, name, location, or organization, type quotes before and after the specific words. For example: "California".
